Product Overview:

Specially designed to minimize friction, shear, and pressure, the ObboMed 2680 PremiumAir Alternating Pressure Mattress utilizes alternating pressure therapy to stimulate blood flow that will nourish the skin. The cone-shaped air cells comfortably support the user's weight while providing a patented 15-degree angle of self-lateral rotation. In addition, the rotation direction can be fixed to provide targeted treatment to a particularly sensitive ulcer or sore on one side of the patient. Conveniently adjustable for 25 and 40-degree angles of lateral rotation as well, this innovative pressure relief mattress can be customized to meet the needs of users weighing up to 450 pounds.

A push of a button activates the patented Easy Go bedpan component that opens the area in the buttocks region of the mattress, enabling the bedpan procedure to be efficiently completed by only one caregiver without having to move the patient.

The mattress includes patented inflatable guardrails that help ensure the patient doesn't accidentally entrap themselves between the bed and side rails. This alternating pressure mattress's ultra-comfortable design and safety measures make it ideal for individuals with paralysis and other immobility issues, or for those who must spend at least fifteen hours a day in bed.

More Information

The PremiumAir LAL Mattress is ideal for individuals with a medium to high risk of developing bedsores or pressure ulcers. Specially designed for users who need to spend at least fifteen hours per day in bed, this innovative mattress with its cone-shaped air cells delivers a patented 15-degree self-lateral rotation. Safely supporting weight up to 450 pounds, the deflating and inflating cone-shaped air cells provide regular movement or alternating pressure.

Helping to meet the unique needs of each individual user, the mattress construction offers adjustable 15-degree, 25-degree, and 40-degree lateral rotation angles. Designed with a combination of thermoplastic polyurethane and nylon (TPU), these innovative air cells are airtight with high-frequency heat-sealing, granting protection against liquids and spills.

User safety is optimized with the bed's 24-hour power outage protection, alerting users with a set of audible and visual warning signals if there is low air pressure below 5 mmHg or a power outage. During a loss of air and/or electrical power, the bottom layer of the mattress will stay inflated if the air hose remains connected to the control unit. Additional helpful functions include side bolster inflation, inflatable guardrails, and bedpan mattress activation.

ObboMed's patented inflatable guardrail sits only a couple of inches above the surface of the mattress, allowing patients to easily get on and off the bed, and giving easy access to caregivers as well. The inflatable nature is extremely safe, unlike metal guardrails which pose a potential safety hazard. Coupled with the mattress's sinking feature which places the surface 5 inches deeper, a distance of 9 inches between bolster and the mattress surface is created, making the patient incredibly safe.

This premium air mattress highlights several patented designs to make the user and caregiver safer and more comfortable. The patented Easy Go bedpan allows one caregiver to perform the sometimes difficult bedpan function. With a push of a button on the control panel, a recessed opening on the mattress is activated, allowing the mattress system to deflate within twenty seconds at the buttock area of the mattress cover sheet. This creates an opening where a bedpan can be quickly and easily inserted directly on the top sheet and then quickly removed.
