K-2oem ALT-AIRE+ Low Air Loss Pressure System

K-2oem ALT-AIRE+ LAL Pressure System is operated by an easy-to-use control unit. This control unit features dome keys and a LED display. It displays current mode, A/P times, and patient comfort pressure (Soft 0 to Firm 9). LAL relief is optional and can be turned off. When it is on, though, LAL mode gives patient regular LAL relief. Once a patient has reached the desired comfort pressure, the pump shuts off. Inflation of mattresses takes about 5 - 25 seconds, depending on the mattress size. A built-in lock out keys enables the caregiver to prevent the patient from tampering with the controls. An internal memory stores previous settings in the case of a power outage or hose disconnect. The control unit is lightweight and quiet for easy transport and use.

The air cushions on the systems are heat-sealed, liquid proof, and washable. The top sheet has a low-friction and low-shear design to reduce irritation and discomfort.

If a caregiver needs to move a patient without removing the patient off the bed, the power cord simply disconnects and needs to be rolled into the control unit. The mattress will being deflating once the control unit has been switched off. If caregiver is using the bolster system, the bolsters will stay inflated. The mattresses are built with either foam or air pad to maintain comfort when they are deflated; however, do not keep patient on a deflated mattress for too long. They also have CPR quick-release valve for emergency procedures. Once the connector is disconnected, the mattress rapidly deflates.

To transport the systems, the support surface simply rolls up, and there are two handles or shoulder straps.

There are seven options of the system available: cell overlay system, 8-inch or standard mattress, side-bolster, and bariatric systems. Choose the system that best suits your needs.
