Invacare's series of Solace Prevention Therapeutic Foam Mattresses are made with low-risk patient comfort and safety in mind. Each hospital mattress is dual-layered and designed to distribute a patient's weight evenly across its surface to mitigate the formation of pressure ulcers and lesions. The "fortress" foam cut design also aids in providing patients with greater support and relief, while simultaneously reducing heat and moisture by promoting airflow. The Solace Prevention Therapeutic Foam Mattress is 6" thick across the entire mattress, and a model is available with an extra 3" of thickness around the edges of the mattress only for additional side support.

The Solace Prevention Therapeutic Foam Mattress is a hospital grade bed amenity that provides little pathways of airflow while remaining comfortably firm and pliable. Special zoned layers of the 6" thick high-density foam provides aid in relieving pressure from susceptible ulcer spots; the Solace Prevention Therapeutic Foam Mattress can also come with an extra 3" of foam around the edges only for additional side support. The middle section of the mattress is firmer than the head and feet sections which are softer for patient comfort.

The fortress cut foam aids in the relief of medium to high-risk pressure ulcers. This foam mattress is designed for hospital bedridden patients in mind. The base is made of vinyl for easy cleaning while the upper layers are made of dual-layered comfort foam technology. There is a nylon top cover that can go on top of the already fluid-resistant foam mattress. The therapeutic foam bedding device has a 350-pound weight limit and a five-year limited warranty.

With this specially designed firmness distribution, reliable material layering, and aerated foam structure the Solace Therapeutic Foam Mattress can provide a comfortable platform for a wide range of heavier patients!

Comfortable for about a year. Then you're stuck in a hole where the mattress flattens and you can't flip turn it. I have MS and can't get to the exact centre of the bed and need to get in on my good side. I can only sleep on my back. I now have to put small pillows along my hip and knee to try and keep my body aligned better. But it is comfortable until it wears out. Not sure how long these last in a public medical setting but at home, for the money, I wish it lasted longer. Highly recommend if it's short term use or if you sleep on both sides.

My pop didnt care for the stock mattress that came with his bed. Out of the box it didnt look that much different from what he had so I was worried he wouldnt like it. Nope, loves it! Hopefully it will help him spend more time on the bed and give the bedsores he gets, from sitting in a chair all day, more time to heal.
