The Ida IV Fixed Height Safety Bed with Articulating Mattress by KayserBetten provides a safe and secure sleeping environment for children with special needs, designed with a universal size to accommodate children of all ages and built to last for a lifetime. A fixed height sleeping platform allows comfortable access for caregivers, while the manually articulating mattress ensures maximum comfort and support for the patient. The manual operation eliminates the problems of power outages and unwanted user tampering, and it cuts costs on energy bills.

This bed is ideal for non-ambulatory patients who are unable to pull up or tall kneel; providing the perfect solution for in-home long-term care. The Ida III is constructed with solid natural beech wood for ultimate strength and long-lasting support that stands up to the heavy standards required for frequent use with and by children. The wood construction is durably sealed for easy cleaning and disinfection to allow you to maintain a high standard or hygiene for a happy, healthy child.

The sides feature 31 inch high rails sandwiched with plexiglass to provide a clear line of sight for both the patient and the caregiver(s) while preventing limb entrapment or accidental escape. Four doors are included on one of the long sides to allow easy patient access and feature a secure locking mechanism to keep the child safe and comfortable while preventing accidental falls or nighttime wandering to ensure safety and reduce risk of injury.

1 Review(s) - Average Customer Rating: 4.0 (1.0 to 5.0 scale)

We are a foundation that provides these gifts to kids that need them. We really like the design and the safety benefits, especially the locks and other features.
I do need to make sure I specify one part of our experience- I am one of two people that had to put the bed together for the recipient family and was intimately involved in the assembly of the bed. We had a major issue that required us to contact you guys on several occasions; the instructions that came to the bed were so poorly written and missing information needed for the assembly. The written instructions were just terrible and lacked several areas of the assembly and mentioned parts that were not included in the kit.
However, only considering the bed itself, I would give it a 4/5. I've put together many special needs beds from other vendors and there were many things I loved about this one.
