Product Overview:

Frequently called the caregiver's friend, the KayserBetten Ida Safety Bed is fully electrically-adjustable, both in height and in the 4-section sleeping platform articulation. Never stoop to care for your child in bed again! The eight doors, four on each side, can be opened on each of the long sides allowing the patient to be cared for and treated by 2 people simultaneously while providing overnight safety. The low access level of only 13 inches allows children or users with limited mobility to climb in and out independently when doors are opened. White-Glove delivery, also known as inside delivery with setup, is available for the lower 48 US States with a quote request sent to rfq@rehabmart.com with full delivery details.

More Information

The Ida Safety Bed with Fully Electric Height and Positional Adjustment is the most accommodating safety bed available from KayserBetten. Full electric height adjustment combines with electric articulation of the four section sleeping platform to provide optimal positioning at all times, adjusted with just the push of a button.

This bed features 31-inch high safety rails to keep the patient safe and secure while resting, ensuring they don't fall or accidentally injure themselves. Each long side features four safety doors - eight in total - that can be simultaneously opened to allow patient access by two caregivers at once for tandem treatment or therapy.

The patient benefits from being able to easily see out of the bed. The ends are ventilated (without plexiglass) to allow IV lines, vents, feeding lines, pulse oximeter cords, etc. If humidifiers are being run, the lines can remain straighter by entering/exiting via the bed ends, which will prevent 'rain out' in the hoses. The rods in the doors are sandwiched between plexiglass (where they remain clean and untouched). The clear plexiglass sides on this bed give the caregiver visual and auditory access while eliminating limb entrapment. This bed is also constructed with no gap between the mattress and the frame to reduce accidental limb entrapment or similar dangers.

The Ida is designed with a low access level of only 12 inches that easily allows children with mild restriction of movement to climb in and out independently, or provides easy access for transfer of users from wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

This bed is constructed with heavy-duty sweat and saliva-resistant wood treatment that prevents damage to the natural beech wood. Solid natural beechwood construction is warm and silky to the touch, unlike a metal crib or other institutional bed, and provides strong support to stand up to heavy use. Special door fittings prevent them from being opened from the inside, and offers a secure area that is comfortable for treatment, rest, or play.

Assembly is required (tool is provided along with manual) for all beds. Please contact us for shipping quotes, customization, set-up along with delivery, custom padding, or more information prior to purchase. Choose solid natural beech wood or colored beechwood (primary colored rods).
