The Ida bed has the largest range of electric height adjustment on the market being adjustable from a low height of only thirteen inches from the floor up to a maximum of thirty four inches to provide children with easy independent access to the bed while also raising up to be high enough for ergonomic access to the patient without straining the caregiver. For added accommodation for everyday life, a 330 pound weight capacity allows both the caregiver and child to be fully supported during therapy, sleep, comfort, or any time together, facilitating better bonding and more fulfilling play, therapy, or bed time. The included mattress can be manually articulated greater than 30 degrees at the head and foot for comfortable positioning that provides a naturally contoured sleeping surface. This mattress is also uniquely designed to ensure there is no gap between the mattress and the sides of the bed for ultimate safety and protection.

The clear plexiglass sides on IDA safety beds give the caregiver visual and auditory access, while also allowing the child to see out for better engagement. The ends are ventilated (without plexiglass) to allow IV lines, vents, feeding lines, pulse ox cords, etc to pass through easily and safely. If humidifiers are being run, the lines can remain straighter by entering/exiting via the bed ends, which will prevent 'rain out' in the hoses. The rods that you see in the doors are sandwiched between plexiglass (where they remain clean and untouched).

The included mattress has a core of PU foam material RG35, and blue elastic cotton ticking which is washable up to 60 degrees. The mattress is fire-resistant, according to CMHR fire retarding standards. It is a standard mattress for multi-zonal sleeping platforms.
