This Atlas Heavy-Duty Battery-Operated Bariatric Shower Stretcher from TR Group, Inc., available in standard and junior, provides a stable, height-adjustable platform for residents to lie on that keeps them at a convenient height for caregivers for a variety of purposes, including showering, changing, and treating. Powder-coated stainless steel side rails fold 180 degrees out of the way and can also fold inward to reduce the overall width of the stretcher to fit through narrower doorways. Caregivers can adjust the height of the stretcher to suit their working preference via a simple hand remote control that operates on heavy-duty, high-capacity batteries.

The mattress and pillow included with the stretcher have a unique, dual-drainage design that funnels water to a flexible drainage hose beneath the stretcher with a hose holder to prevent dragging, and is easily removable for laundering and is 100% flame retardant. A wedge positioning pillow is also available at either a 15 or 30-degree angle, and the entire stretcher can be tilted for better drainage, patient support, or for fast and easy Trendelenburg positioning. The stretcher has two brake castors and two straight-steering castors for safe stand-stills and easy traveling. The standard Atlas stretcher is wider than most stretchers to provide a larger working area and to be more comfortable for the patient; a foldable head-end rail provides extra length for the patient and also helps ease transitions.
