Ormesa Grillo Anterior Special Needs Gait Trainer - 4 Sizes

The Grillo Special Needs Gait Trainer helps to promote independence by creating a supportive gait trainer. Three sizes are available that adjust in height to grow with the user. See below for a chart to determine what size best fits.

The anterior configuration is for users that need more positioning and support help. A handlebar in the front provides a comfortable gripping point. The standard pelvic and chest supports help to provide comfortable and padded support around the regions. The light pressure mimics the way a hug feels to provide additional security. The supports are independent of each other and are adjustable in height, width/circumference, tilt, and backward and forward movement to best adjust to the specific user.

Adjusting the Grillo Gait Trainer is easy and requires no tools because of the level and handle system. This makes adjustments quick and enables the Grillo to be used with multiple users if desired. Adjustments can be made while the user is in the Grillo to make sure best fit. The center of gravity remains constant during height adjustments to help improve posture. The height adjustment allows the Grillo to grow with the user and ensures longer use with a single size. On all adjustable supports, the specific position directed by a physician can be quickly switched back to, helping to provide quick and accurate adjustments. The Grillo is easy to fold for transport and storage with one simple motion. This eliminates the need to break down and remove parts before folding.

The Ormesa designed wheels allow for use on virtually any surface, indoors or out. The rear wheels are optionally anti-reverse to prevent movement backward, great for those with less trunk control. The wheels also feature adjustable drag with 4 levels to reduce the speed of the Grillo to prevent moving too quickly. A wheel stop brake can be sued to brake the Grillo. The handbrake on the system also brakes the rear tires. The front wheels have directional locks to only allow the Grillo to move in a straight line, rather than lateral control.

An ergonomic harness also comes standard with the Grillo that loops around the user's leg for additional security. The slight abduction provides reassurance but remains comfortable. The harness is adjustable, removable, and machine washable for added convenience.
