The Freedom Concepts Discovery Series DCP 16 Pediatric Trike is the perfect way for children between the ages of 7 and 14 to get out and about while improving their health and activity and remaining safe and supported. This trike is ideal for users living with simple balance problems to more involved cases of cerebral palsy, spina bifida, down syndrome, head injury, muscular dystrophy, or autism, providing full adjustment to grow and change with your child as they enter their teen years while supporting them to keep them safe and comfortable.
This tricycle includes an optional rear steering system that allows the caregiver to steer or to brake from the rear of the trike. Once the rider becomes more comfortable with reciprocal movement, an adjustment can be made allowing the rider to control, or assist with the navigation of the bike. Customizable control and braking features ensure each user is optimally supported to improve hand-eye coordination, balance, range of motion, and circulation.
Additionally, this trike comes equipped with quick release mechanisms, allowing it to adapt easily from one rider to another, making it the choice of many therapists, schools, and care facilities.
