Freedom Concepts AS2000 Adventurer Series Tricycle

Due to being highly customizable, the standard features of the Adventurer Series Tricycle include: quick release mechanisms on all adjustable parts, crank and sprocket system that can adjust in all directions with standard with five inch crank arm, independently adjustable handlebars with telescopic posts that move out of the way for unobstructed on/off transfers, discreet assistance handle so the rider can learn to ride and stop with a little help, a direct drive with an average pedal power (the JR model comes with easy pedal power), twenty inch aluminum wheels with smooth solid tires, a front V brake, a rear disc brake, mountain bike style pedals, heavy duty steel chain guard, hoop handle bars, 16.75" wide x 14" deep seat base (the JR model comes with 12.5" x 12.5" seat base), ten inch low seat back (the JR model comes with 7.5" seat back), two inch wide seat belt, a self-centering spring, a locking hand brake, a safety flag, wheel reflectors, a multi-tool and a bike bell.

The Adventurer Series line of tricycles from Freedom Concepts is geared toward older riders, particularly those aged 14 years to adulthood. However, unlike traditional bikes, the Adventurer Series tricycles are adaptive in design, meaning that they are intended to be used by teens and adults who live with disabilities that affect their motor skills and balance. In customizing and building these tricycles, Freedom Concepts' objective is twofold. First, adaptive bikes open an exciting pathway to special needs users who are unable to experience the exhilaration and freedom that comes from riding traditional bikes.

Second, cycling is an excellent means of exercise that can also play a therapeutic role in training weak muscles and aiding in the development of the vestibular and proprioceptive systems. A standard feature of the Adventurer Series is the direct-drive mechanism that is useful for extended trips or steeper inclines.

About the Adventurer Models
Each of the tricycles in the Adventurer Series is designed for users from adolescence to adulthood; however, each model targets a particular group of users.

The AS 2000 is the standard Adventurer Series model and is constructed of ultra durable materials for adults and larger teens.

The AS 2000JR (Junior) is intended for the smaller rider in the age range of 14 years old and up by having a slightly downsized version of the standard AS 2000 model.

The AS 2000XT (Extended Tilt) is an extended frame with a tiltable seat back, allowing those with poor trunk or head support with the ability to ride in a reclined position.

The AS 2000N (Narrow) is narrowly built at 31 inches, allowing for the tricycle to fit through standard doorways.

Adjustable Handlbars	Right and Left Handlbars
The Adjustable Handlebars are standard for the Adventurer series, making it easy and safe to transfer on and off.	The Right and Left Hoop Handlebars come standard and allow riders to adjust the height and nearness, customizing the ride to the user.
Self Centering Spring	Direct Drive
The self centering spring ensures that the tricycle does not veer left or right, but maintains a straight line.	The tricycle's Direct Drive feature provides riders with the ability to pedal forward and backward as they desire.

The optional Stationary Bike Trainer allows caregivers to provide physical therapy to patients without having to go outside or when space is limited.	The optional Velcro Gloves will provide riders to learn to steer and ride properly without stressing over too much at one time.

The optional Removable Abductor Leg Divider assist with training the rider's legs from criss crossing, as well as helps the rider with maintaining their balance. The removable headrest allows for other types of headrests to be utilized, providing a versatile tricycle for school and facility use. The headrest's ability to be adjusted assists with a variety of heights that may be utilizing the tricyle. Animal Squeaky Horns	Tricycle Bell
The Animal Squeaky Horns provide a variety of visual options for children riders to honk and squeak their way through their tricycle ride.	This tricycle bell comes standard with all of the tricycle models. The tricycle bell lets the rider know when they're coming down the sidewalk or street!
Safety Flag	Hand Brake
The Safety Flag is orange in color, adding a colorful touch to the tricycle and a safety feature while riding down the road.	The hand brake allows riders to brake as they need to, allowing for the rider to gain independence and confidence.

Smooth Tire	Sun and Rain Canopy option
Smooth tires of a tricycle provide riders with a smooth ride over roads. These type of tires are best utilized for on-road riding and not off road, verying terrain.	The Sun and Rain Canopy will protect the rider from harsh sun rays and light rain falls.
Thumb Shifter	Vee Front Brakes
The thumb shifter allows the rider to easily adjust their speed with the REC or TEC propulsions. The thumb shifter is required for the REC and TEC propulsion features.	The front brakes are easily applied similar to standard bicycles and tricycles.
Right Rear Parking Brake	Tilt Seat
The right rear parking brake comes standard with each tricycle, but users may choose to have it on the left instead.	By having a tiltable seat, riders are able to easily drive their tricycle in a reclined position. The tilt seat provides additional support to the rider.
