More Information

The Flotation Collar for Basket Stretchers provides extreme flotation ability for medical and emergency personnel working with a variety of Stokes basket rescue stretchers. The 45 lbs. of buoyancy is ideal for emergency personnel to safely move a victim or patient from a hazardous water environment. The flotation collar can easily be attached to the Gazelle Series, Model 71, Advantage Basket Stretchers, or the Titan Series of Stokes rescue stretchers.

A Stokes basket is a rescue stretcher that offers full body protection. The rescue stretcher can be used on dry land, hoisted by a helicopter, or be lowered/lifted with ropes from high angles without affecting or shifting the patient during the transportation.

Rescue stretchers are used by emergency medical personnel to help attend to and save victims from various situations. Used worldwide, Stokes rescue stretchers are used by government agencies, the military, and civilian professional emergency workers.

The flotation collar that fits around the rescue stretcher assists in sea rescues by the Coast Guard and Navy to help downed pilots, victims from ship accidents at sea, and drowning victims by providing a safe flotation of the rescue basket for people weighing up to 900 lbs. When not in use, the flotation collar will fit easily and out-of-the-way within the rescue basket.
