The Finger Extension Remedial Game is a type of assessment tool for an occupational therapist to better assess the patient's ability for active finger extension and facilitates the type of therapy needed for the patient.
The remedial game includes a game board who's surface on both sides is covered in a loop material and the 32 playing piece's surface is covered in a hook pattern of a Velcro-type of material to provide slight resistance when pulling the game piece from the board, as well as pushing down the piece to securely connect it to the board.
Each game piece has a soft, vinyl loop that allows the player's extended fingertip to lift it from the board and move it to another area. The top and bottom of the game piece are of different colors to differentiate the pieces during the game.
The finger extension game can be used to provide patient assessment for active finger extension, coordinate hand flexors and extensors, and specific finger exercise for individuals with trigger finger, PIN syndrome, mallet finger, painful cuts on their hands, and Boutonniere deformity.
The color of the game pieces may vary.
