By strategically placing the pivot points of the stander in line with the body's natural pivot points, options like the hip supports, lateral supports, and head support remain in place from sitting to standing, minimizing shear. When positioned correctly, the contoured seat provides a maximum over-center stretch for various body types. The Evolv also accommodates for hip and knee contractures through proper positioning of the footplates and optional independent knee pads.
The EasyStand Evolv is the most modular stander available. With over 60 options and configurations, each unit can be built specifically for an individual or facility. These options, that would normally be custom modifications, allow a stander to be configured for specific needs. A larger Transfer Seat or Rotating Seat can also be added to make transfers more manageable. To make standing pivot or lift assist transfers easier, an optional Swing-Away Front or Removable Back can be added.
The Optional Shadow Tray with contoured chest pad provides constant anterior support from sitting to standing and any position in between. No other standing device features a support surface like it. With enhance tray accessibility, the Shadow Tray is accessible in the seated position and as the user pumps to a standing position, the tray "shadows" and moves with them, providing tray access in all positions between sitting to standing. People who can only stand partially upright have complete access to the tray while remaining fully supported.
Great Choice for Schools
Using the optional Shadow Tray as both a stander and a desk make it a perfect choice for home or school use. It is exceptionally easy to change positions without transferring. There are a number of excellent research studies documenting the benefits of passive standing programs for an individual's long-term health. With the Shadow Tray, users can easily change positions without having to transfer into their wheelchair. This makes it easier to stand in small bursts and still stand long enough to affect bone density and maximize other health benefits.
Designed for Easy Transferring & Operating
Most people who can propel a manual wheelchair can operate the Evolv with the self-propelled mobile option. To maximize transfer room, the push rims move forward when the knee pad is flipped up (a unique feature of the Evolv Mobile stander). The drive wheels (with high-efficiency chain drive) and push rim mechanisms are closer to the user, improving propulsion and steering while standing. Wheel locks secure the mobile stander while transferring and provide safe stationary standing.
Benefits of Mobile/Dynamic Standing (Mobile Frame Option)
Standing mobility provides more independence and opportunity to explore a wide range of environments and have more interaction with peers. Dynamic standers can also maximize function, from performing activities like doing dishes to "wheeling" up the aisle to get married. There are numerous research studies that suggest enhanced benefits when using a mobile/dynamic standing frame.
Accessories and Optional Add-ons
All belts, chest straps and back angle adjustment wheel require that a back support be added. The choices for a back support include flat or contoured backs that are offered in removable optional style. Be sure to add an accessory mounting bracket if ordering a chest vest, lateral support, head support or push handles.
Large hip supports have limited adjustment when combined with the shadow tray. A large contoured chest pad is standard with shadow tray. The padded tray cover is not available with the oversized clear tray or mobile option. Swing-Away front mounted trays are not available with the mobile option (nor are the standard style front mounted trays). Back support is required for all shadow trays.
