More Information

Easily walk with patients who have a fall risk by utilizing the DeRoyal Heavy-Duty Gait Belt. It is ideal for patients to help them safely move and reduces strain on caregivers. It comes in 56 and 70-inch lengths to fit most users, and features the durable tiger-tooth buckle for added stability. These walking aids are made with comfortable cotton material. It is an easy-to-use tool, giving you a secure way to help your patients walk from one point to the next. When putting the Heavy-Duty Gait Belt around your patients, make sure you keep the buckle in front at first. After securing the closure, you can turn the belt so the buckle is at your patient's back and begin adjusting the length. The belt should be placed around the user's waist. Even when the belt is tightened, you should still be able to comfortably slide two fingers between it and the person wearing it. Overtightening the belt can lead to discomfort or injury. When the belt is first fitted it should be done so by a medical professional. The Heavy-Duty Gait Belt from DeRoyal can be used to assist you in moving patients out of chairs or wheelchairs, help you walk them to the bathroom, and keep them from falling. Not only does this gait belt keep your patient stable and standing, but it will also reduce the physical strain on you.
