The Comfy Locking Pull Ring Knee Orthosis is recommended only for patients with non-fixed contractures (contracted joints that can still be flexed or extended).
Degrees of knee contracture are as follows:
5-30 degrees = mild contracture
30-90 degrees = moderate contracture
90 degress plus = severe contracture
The Comfy Locking Pull Ring Knee Orthosis has the following therapeutic uses:
- Graduated extension of the Knee
- Treatment of non-fixed contractures of the Knee
- Helps restrict arthritic changes and deformity realted to neuromascular impairment
- Positions the flaccid Knee in functional position
The Comfy Locking Pull Ring Knee Orthosis comes with a terrycloth cover that wicks away moisture. The foam liner acts as padding, relieving pressure and preventing the splint frame from damaging the wearer's skin. Adult splints' covers are navy; pediatric sizes are lavender for small, turquoise for medium, and teal for large.
