The Aquaplast Watercolors Splinting Material is a thermoplastic splinting device designed to be formed and shaped to help immobilize, protect, and support injuries such as sprains, strains, and fractures. The thermoplastic material construction is designed with a 19% OptiPerf perforation pattern that helps to combine breathability with durability and strength. The splinting material also has 100% memory which means that it can be economically and repeatedly reheated for revisions.

The Aquaplast splinting material is manufactured with a non-stick coating that allows medical professionals to mold and shape a splint, adaptive equipment, or orthosis without any unwanted bonding. The splinting material can perform a temporary bond by pinching the heated material together, or, if a more permanent bond is wanted, the non-stick coating can be removed by scraping it off with a sharp instrument or by using liquid remover.

The latex-free material comes in a variety of colors to choose, ranging between beige for a more subtle look to hot pink for a bright, vibrant style. This splinting material is ideal to use for serial splints as well for wrist, hand, finger and thumb splints. Coming in several size choices and either as a single sheet or a package of four, the material can also be used as elbow and knee splints by applying the pinch technique to achieve the best fit.
