The Hausmann ADA Mini Training Staircase forces the user's body to work against gravity and to use a muscle stabilizer as the gluteus medius to help relearn activating and balancing one leg for a brief moment during movement. During physical therapy after surgery, an injury, or illness that affects the lower body, it is difficult for those learning to comfortably walk again and move independently with self-assurance on steps, stairs, and slopes.
The staircase has two 6" high steps and three 4" high steps that are 30" wide and a top platform that is 30" wide by 23" deep and is 12" high. The ADA-compliant staircase can be used in a clinic with an 8-foot high ceiling and with its smaller footprint will take up less space than a standard training staircase.
The handrail has an ergonomic design to provide user comfort, security, and ease of use with a 12" easy to grip overhang for extra stability and security. The handrails, uprights, and steps are made of premium hardwood.
The upright and handrails have a satin finish and the stairs are finished in natural oak laminate and each step, as well as the platform, have anti-slip safety treads to provide a more safe and secure footing. The steps and platform edges have a BriteStep design of yellow high-visibility, high-impact 3mm edging for added safety and durability.
