The Tumble Forms II Weighted Critters is designed as a soft and cuddly weighted product to help provide a child with proprioceptive feedback, or input, by applying deep pressure sensory information to their muscles and joints. The latex-free, non-toxic critter construction consists of either 2-pounds or 2 1/2-pounds of lead-free steel-shot placed inside flame-retardant, stain-resistant, brushed nylon material in a shape of a butterfly, a dinosaur, caterpillar, or a whale.
Developed to help calm and soothe a child, and aid with organizing their impulses, the weighted critter is placed across their lap or shoulders to help reduce fidgeting, and improve in-seat behavior. The critters also improve the child’s attention to the task, reinforcing a longer sitting time while completing their table activity.
The Tumble Forms weighted critters work well with special needs children who live with conditions such as sensory integration dysfunction, ADHD, ADD, and cerebral palsy. The weighted critter can help to modify a child's behavior in environments such as the classroom, at home, during a clinic/doctor visit, or while traveling in a car or plane.
