The TKO - The Knuckle Orthosis is a wearable medical device designed to provide stability, positioning, and splinting of the phalanges, metacarpals, MCP, and IP joints due to fracture or a hand injury.
Made with perforated, breathable neoprene that is covered in a hook closure material that corresponds with the loop closure material located on the orthosis's strap.
Included are two padded malleable aluminum stays that will provide customized support to the user in cooperation with the compression aspect of the neoprene to offer the user a snug and healing fit.
Adjustable straps with loop closure material allow the orthosis to be quickly applied and removed while also allowing the ability to loosen the orthosis to accommodate swelling while still ensuring a comfortable and custom fit. Included is distal buddy strapping that will help eliminate finger rotation.
The one-size-fits-most orthosis can be hand washed and air-dried. To fit the orthosis as a radial gutter device to protect 2nd and 3rd metacarpal fractures as well as to fit as an ulnar gutter splint to fit the 4th and 5th metacarpal fractures, order the opposite hand orthosis.
