The Wrist Drop Orthosis is made to support a weak or flaccid wrist while not preventing the wearer from being able to perform daily tasks. The universal cuff sewn into the palm of the brace is able to be used with writing utensils, eating utensils, or other applicable instruments used in daily living. The splint provides restriction and support but doesn’t sacrifice functionality to achieve either.

The Wrist Drop Orthosis with Universal Cuff is made of Kydex thermoplastic which can easily be molded by simply applying heat. This makes the splint able to be used by a wide variety of patients for a wide variety of reasons. The plastic material is lightweight yet durable. In contact with the skin, is a removable, washable, foam liner that keeps perspiration and moisture from building up in contact with skin. Sewn into the palm is a universal cuff which can be used with writing instruments, eating utensils, and other handheld items used in daily life. The sturdy and durable construction allows the splint to hold the hand and wrist in extension to support a weak or flaccid wrist. The splint was designed specifically to be worn for extended periods of time and the inner lining prevents skin breakdown during the prolonged use.

Sizing ranges from pediatric to adult. Specific measurements can be found below.

It holds wrist in position comfortably, however the strap that goes across the hand squishes your hand and cuts into the palm of your hand when it is pulled tight enough to hold your hand in the correct position in the brace. It also restricts finger and thumb movement.
