The Defender Reha is compatible with most vehicles, but it is best to review your vehicle's handbook to make sure it is capable of accepting a Universal Restraint System. Only suitable for forward-facing installations, this seat will raise a child's height so that the vehicles lap/shoulder belt will be properly positioned across the center of the chest and low on the hips to effectively secure them to the seat. and will install easily in any seat with a 3 point (lap and shoulder belt) seat belt. When going on vacation it is good to know that the Reha, when used in Harness Mode, is certified for aircraft use.
The seat is available with a variety of optional accessories to provide a customized fit for each child's unique shape, size, and needs. Height adjustments for the seats back are built directly into the system, and is easy to operate. To reach the maximum booster seat width as the child grows the additional hip guide pads can be removed from the seat, and to reach the maximum back height and shoulder height, additional seat and foam pads can also be taken from under the seat cushion.
The child booster seat can be installed with the child restraint using either the LATCH system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) or the vehicle seat belt. If LATCH is not an option, you MUST use the vehicle seat belt to install the child restraint in the vehicle. The booster seat has been approved in accordance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 for general use in vehicles and Canadian CMVSS 213 standards, and has been crash-tested a number of times to ensure reliable, and safe results.
