SportsPlay's Stand Alone Shade Structure is a low maintenance solution to providing overhead shade. Ideal for using over playground equipment or as a shelter from the sun, the shade keeps playground equipment cool and blocks UV rays. It can be used over a variety of areas, including bleachers and picnic areas. The UV stabilized shade structure is made with knitted fabric and high density polyethylene, and it is lock-stitched. The shade will not fade, mold, or rot. It blocks up to 95% of UV rays. The posts are made with galvanized steel, which resists corrosion.
The Stand Alone Shade Structure is available in three different sizes: 12' x 20', 18' x 20', and 20' x 24'. Choose from Red, Green, Blue or Yellow in each size. The Shadenet Canopy, cable, and hardware needed are all included. The concrete required for the project needs to be sourced locally by the contractor. Use normal post pre-mix bagged concrete, available from building material outlets.

Steel Tubing and Wire Cabling
Round tubing with a wall thickness which exceeds 2mm. Grade 300 WA, Cold formed welded and seamless carbon steel tubing in accordance with ASTM A 500. 3" OD. Galvanizing -55 microns minimum.
Components and Fittings
Standard Height is 8' on the outside perimeter, 10' in the middle. Grade 300 WA Flat Bar. Hot dipped to 55 microns minimum. Bolts and Nuts high and std tensile galvanized bolts, BSP treated in metric size. All nuts are nylock type.
