Jensen Swing Commercial Roto Molded Wave Slide

The Jensen Swing Commercial Roto Molded Wave Slide is an exciting and great addition to a swing set that allows children to 'ride the wave' down to the ground.

The very sturdy and durable molded plastic material slide has a 300-pound weight limit making it strong enough for any child or number of children and has a wave-style design to provide a little extra excitement while smoothly sailing down to slide. While the molded plastic construction provides a lower heat transfer than a standard hot metal slide standing out in the sun all day, the wave slide can still become hot in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight so children should be monitored by adults at all times during use.

The wave slide is available in two sizes: an 8-foot long slide that is 28" wide and 15" deep, or a 10-foot long slide that is 23" wide and 17" deep. The wave slide is also available in a choice of either blue or green.

While plastic slides are tried and true kid-safe, as with all playground equipment, parents or caretakers should always supervise and monitor younger children and always check the playground surfaces for unsafe items and excessive heat before allowing children to play upon and around the swings and other playground equipment.

WARNING: Instruct children to never run up the slide and to slide down feet first. Tell children to make sure the bottom of the slide is unobstructed before going down the slide. Do not use the slide when wet. Do not use equipment until fully assembled. Consider proper drainage and place slides in a shaded area or located out of the direct sun. Slides exposed to the intense sun can burn.

No span of the sliding surface should have a slope that exceeds .577 degrees. Handrails or other means of hand support should be installed at the slide chute entrance to make it easy for children to go from standing to sitting. There should be guard rails to transit the child into the slide chute. The transition platform should be as wide or wider than the slide entrance.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the set's installation instructions. There are 2 indentations at the top of the slide to drill in either 2 Truss head wood screws or pan head wood screws. The bottom needs to be on a flat surface preferably one that will not let the end sink in the ground. Place it in the shade so that plastic does not get hot.

Safe Use: This is for children 2 - 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged. Instruct children to never run up the slide and to slide down feet first.

Maintenance: At the beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for cracks in the plastic, paying particular attention to the top of the slide where it is attached to the platform. Check for rusty screws, missing or loose hardware or evidence of vandalism. Check for cracks in wood or splinters. Replace parts as necessary. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around the slide. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
