Squid System for the Ankle Cold and Compression Therapy Unit

The Squid System for the Ankle is designed to provide both cryotherapy and compression therapy for a comprehensive pain-relief and healing treatment. Cryotherapy (also known as cold therapy) increases circulation, encourages immune system activity, and soothes aches and pains associated with tense muscles and sore joints. Intermittent bouts of compression help oxygenate tissue and direct swelling/edema away from the ankle and back towards the heart, both of which speed the healing process and ease aches and pains.

The Squid System ankle wrap features two wide, hook-and-loop fastening straps that ergonomically wrap around the lower leg and arch of the foot to ensure compression and cold are directed properly to the ankle. The freezable gel pack is made of a proprietary gel formula that has a lower freezing temperature than water and ensures mess- and melt-free cold therapy. The anti-bacterial wraps and gel packs are designed to wipe down easily between uses and are durable enough to last for years to come.

The small, rechargeable Squid Pump periodically inflates air bladders within the ankle. Three simple buttons on the pump turn the device on and off, pauses and resumes treatment, and switches between the four different compression modes. Each mode has its own unique sequence of peak pressure and inflation/deflation cycles, providing users with a variety of options to suit their own personal needs. The pump can complete up to 50 sessions on one full charge, and recharges quickly to ensure it is always ready for use.

The Squid System for the Ankle can be purchased as a full unit of the regular Squid system (includes Squid Pump, gel pack, and ankle wrap), and as a full unit of the SquidGo System (includes SquidGo Pump, SquidGo gel pack, and SquidGo ankle wrap). SquidGo is a smaller device that supports only 15 uses per charge but still offers all 4 compression levels; this secondary model is designed for in-home use only.

Users can also choose to purchase wraps or gel packs individually (without the Squid Pump) or as a bundle (including one wrap and one gel pack, also without the Squid Pump).
