Skil-Care Lift-Off Lap Cushion Alarm System is an effective new alarm system that combines a patient positioning lap cushion with a Chair-Pro alarm. An integral magnetic switch activates an alarm when the patient releases the Velcro closure either by hand or by rising from the wheelchair. This non-restrictive patient safety alarm system is non-restrictive, which makes it ideal for use in a restraint-reduction program in hospital, nursing home, and rehabilitation facilities. Economical, this alarm system does not require the purchase of sensor strips. The Skil-Care Lift-Off Lap Cushion Alarm System is compatible with 16" to 18" wide wheelchairs.
Attaching the Alarm to Wheelchair
You can attach the alarm to a wheelchair in two different ways:
1. By Mounting: Simply remove the second-from-top screw from either the left or right side of the wheelchair backrest. Then, remove the grommet from the screw and place the screw through the hole on the alarm unit mounting bracket, and fasten the screw to the wheelchair backrest.
2. Cord Loop: Insert the enclosed cord loop through the bracket hole. Hang from the wheelchair push handle.
