Tactile and Vestibular Sensory Shaker for Children

The Tactile and Vestibular Sensory Shaker for Children is an oversized breathable jersey fabric bag that a child who is experiencing sensory integration dysfunction can easily sit in it as the bag is filled with hollow plastic balls, much like the balls used in a ball pool, that will safely and comfortably surround the child.

Once the user is in the 60 '' by 120" large and comfortable breathable fabric bag with the plastic balls, the bag is then grasped by its strong handles by an adult or two to lift the bag slightly off the floor and shake it. The movement of the brightly colored, soothing texture balls against the user's body provides a full-body tactile input needed to help with sensory integration and help the user to process a wide variety of sensory stimulation of touch, movement, and position.

The user will gather a sense of his body awareness of itself in time and space through proprioceptive receptors in his tendons, muscles, ligaments, and joints during his experience in the shaken bag.

The sturdy fabric bag is versatile and large enough to accommodate users ranging from toddlers to elementary children. As for using and cleaning the shaker bag, first, check to make sure the user is not allergic to the fabric or plastic balls. The bag is machine washable in cold water and mild detergent and can be machine tumble dry on low heat.

The shaker bag does not include therapy balls.
