The Selection Radials Thumb Part is a premium orthotic designed for patients with issues maintaining their grip. A lightweight band wraps around the thumb, attaching with a strong Velcro strap. Once connected, it can hold the user's thumb upright, in a natural position for grasping onto items. This makes it easier to pick up the phone, carry a bag, or use a credit card. It's also ideal for patients returning to work, making it easier to hold a pencil, tablet, or everyday items.
Combining the Selection Radials Thumb Part with a wrist or finger part is ideal for optimal control. It provides more support along the CMC joint and can alleviate pain associated with moving the thumb.
Small or large thumb parts are designed for the left or right hand. Each has a unique shape that wraps around the base of the thumb, tapering off towards the fingernail.
If you are unsure which size to choose, you can figure it out by measuring upwards along the base of the thumb. The small size ranges from 1.18 to 1.57 in., while the large fits 1.96 to 2.36 in.
