More Information

For many handicapped people, it is especially the simple and most personal things that become the most complicated ones and those that create physical and emotional distress. Yes, the ability to use the toilet in every place, at any time and without limitations, is not yet to be taken for granted.

It is precisely from this view, that Seatara is launching the Wheelable, a unique commode and shower chair which will enable any handicapped person to use a regular toilet stall. Now, handicapped people may enjoy the freedom of movement and ability to travel abroad, to visit distant family members, to sleep outside of their homes and to be independent and worry- free about accessibility issues. In short, the Wheelable wheelchair allows you to be just as you once were or as you would like to be.

Wheelable is an innovative commode and shower chair that represents a solution to handicapped individuals for using toilets outside of their own homes. No more checking if there are handicapped-accessible toilets, no more worry about travelling abroad, and no more giving up on work places, family visits or lengthy outings.

The breakthrough commode and shower chair, the Wheelable, is the fruit of Israeli development together with the focus group where dozens of handicapped individuals took part. The chair was planned to provide an effective solution for both permanently and temporarily handicapped individuals. It is suitable for use in any toilet stall, allowing for use in unusual locations, and presents the ability for double the maneuverability of regular wheelchairs.

Due to its unique size, the Wheelable can pass through narrow aisles and fit into the smallest cubicles. It can ride on elevators that are out of bounds for regular commode and shower chair, and eliminate being dependent on an escort. The chair folds up and opens by using five simple actions, which can be done with one hand within a few seconds.

Who is it for?
  • Any permanently handicapped person - Handicapped individuals who suffer from permanent impediments know full well the distress that accompanies any drive, vacation, flight, or family visit. Due to the flexibility and usefulness of Wheelable, those troubles are about to become a thing of the past. The chair can be used as a chair in regular bathrooms without any previous adjustments and in public toilet stalls.
  • For those suffering from temporary impediments - Many times a person is forced to cope with temporary limitations on his freedom of movement. Sometimes it's about two months, sometimes longer. Wheelable offers an efficient solution to coming home from the hospital without the tiresome wait for home renovation. Also, it stays with the individual for the entire length of rehabilitation.

If shower floor is not totally level, (mine has very slight decline in/ incline out,
You cannot exit with being pulled out.
DO NOT purchase if you want it for independence.

So frustrated/sad.I purchased this to be able to take a shower without assistance. My shower has a very slight decline when rolling in, thus incline when rolling out. It is not even visible.
When trying to exit the shower, the right wheel just spins-no traction. The left wheel either does not move or moves intermittently. So I cannot roll out alone.
I am so unhappy 😕 and wish I has not purchased this product. No way to call company that I have found. Did email them.

Uncomfortable. Tiny. Very hard to propel. No attendant handles.

Not for Quads
This wheelchair is not suitable for quadriplegics. It is hard to maneuver, the arms are too short, it's beyond difficult for anyone with limited hand function to raise and lower the arms, the rubber thing that is in the middle of the foot plate is completely in the way, and there wasn't room for him to use the tools he uses for his bowel program. The worst part was that it tipped over when my son was transferring from the chair to bed.

This is our 3rd shower/commode chair in 4 years and it's the best. We finally found one that seems like it was actually designed for our 16-yr old paraplegic son. Thank you!

I wish the arms were longer and sturdier Handicapped need something to grab onto when getting in chair. Wish was a little bit wider.
