Sturdily constructed with a lightweight, all-plastic design, the Savannah Raised Toilet Seat brings sturdiness, durability, and warmth along with it. There are two L-shaped brackets to securely raise the seat of the toilet. The front contours downward gently to make getting off and on easier and is secured by a lip designed not to snap any skin or clothing. The front and back both have large openings for easier access to take care of your personal cleansing. The surface is smooth with a special coating that resists stains and odors. There is also a deep splash guard to avoid any messes.

Due to the simple construction, fitting and removing the seat is quick and easy. The seat supports up to 420 lb.

1.Is this a portable unit? in other words its not bolted down w/the seat.. 2. what are the dimensions for the inside hole?

Answer: Yes this is a portable unit. You can take it wherever you are wanting to go, it does not bolt down to seat, but instead clamps on and is easy to remove. Since I do not have the item with me on hand, I had to speak with the manufacturer, which said it is 6 inches x 8 inches.

I have searched high and low ... and this is the best. ITs opening is wide enough for a man to easily take care of business and it fits most toilets.

The would be perfect if the mounting screws were built stronger. In the 2nd week of use one of the seat anchors broke. We will be returning. I hope you have seats with stronger attaching mechanisms. Please send anRGA

Great find
I was in need of a new toilet seat and came across this product at a Salvation Army store. It was an obvious score as I only paid $10. I love it. My last toilet seat was super thin and when I would need to wipe my bottom, I would have to be super careful my hand didnt end up in the toilet bowl water. This one will never present this problem. I also love that as a person with arthritis and a troublesome knee, I dont need to go down so far. My only concern is I tilted a bit to the right earlier today while wiping and the seat did not feel as secure as a regular toilet seat. But perhaps I did not secure the seat as well as I could. I only bought it today so I am learning about the product thru experience. So far, it rates a ten!!!

It Works Great!
This product will work with most elongated toilets but I just visited a home that had an X-long elongated toilet and while the brackets did not secure flush against the stool they did grip enough that the seat was stable for use. I would suggest not leaving the person by themselves to get up just in case but we did not have a problem using this seat.
