More Information

The Rolyan Functional Position Splint offers a choice of four different brands of thermoplastic splinting material that can be heated and molded for a customized fit. Each brand choice, Polyflex II, Aquaplast-T, Ezeform, and TailorSplint, provide a different conformability and resistance strength to be tailored for a specific type of injury and the patient™s lifestyle.

Constructed of low temperature, thermoplastic material, the splint can be submerged in a static pan of hot water between 150 - 170 degrees for 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and placed on the patient's injured wrist/hand area. The splint is then molded onto the injured area to provide a perfect, customized fit. Once it cools, the splint will provide rigid support and protection.

The latex free, pre-cut splint blanks come in sizes between X-small to large, and offer a choice among Rolyan's four splinting materials which are ready for heating and applying. The correct way to size the injured hand is to measure across the second MCP to the fifth MCP.
