The Rice Lake Bariatric Scale with Handrail and Chair Seat is a revolutionary patient weight management instrument. There is an immense weight limit of half a ton. In order to cater specifically to those patients living with larger weights or immobility concerns, this weighing scale has been constructed with an adjustable seat and heavy-duty handrails.
The handrails are built-in to provide support to those who need assistance walking or for those whose weight affects their balance. There is a folding seat, with ample padding, that allows patients to sit on top of the seat with their legs handing through the front like a swing seat. The patient may also sit with their feet resting on the large standing platform.
The base is large and low to the ground to prevent it from tipping over. It is also very accessible for individuals to quickly transfer from a wheelchair or scooter to the padded seat. The standing platform is heavy-duty and slip-resistant so patients that shuffle or take small steps with their feet will remain secure and upright.
A large LCD screen displays not only the patient½s weight, but it also calculates and presents BMI (body mass index). The display features a TARE and Hold button as well. The actual numbers are displayed in large black text. The display/control panel is attached to an adjustable stand so you can tilt the screen forward or backward. You turn this weight scale on and off with the press of a button.
The large scale can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and mild soap (antimicrobial or not). It should then be wiped dry with a separate cloth. Do not submerge and do not use alcohol based cleaning products because it will dry put the materials and electrical components.
