The Mobile Bariatric Handrail Scale is designed specifically to accommodate heavier patients in a convenient and dignified manner. The heavy-duty device features integrated handrails that patients can use for balance and support as they step onto and off of the weighing platform, as well as for stability while they stand during weighing. Gentle ribbing along the extra-wide weighing platform provides added traction to prevent slipping, and four integrated casters in the base allow the scale to be easily transported around the facility as needed.
A large LCD screen displays measurements in bold type for easy-to-read visibility even from a distance; measurements can be displayed in pounds, kilograms, or both, to suit physician preference or facility need. This scale can also measure body mass index (BMI) for additional functionality. A convenient hold function allows measurements to remain displayed long enough for physicians to record results even after the patient has stepped off the scale. Motiontrap technology compensates for any movement of the patient during the weighing process and offers more accurate results than standard scales.
