Relief Pak Moist Heat Packs

The Relief Pak moist heat pack is one of the simplest solutions to one of the oldest problems. More than half of the working population admits to having back pain symptoms every year, and while over-the-counter pain relievers help many people manage their pain, the most effective way to find relief is through moist heat packs. Unlike dry heat packs, such as electric heating pads, moist packs are less likely to cause skin irritation or dryness. Patients often report that moist heat penetrates skin and tissue faster than dry heat, getting to the root of the pain in the deep muscle tissue. Back-pain sufferers typically prefer moist heat to dry heat, as they feel it relieves their pain quicker and lasts longer.

The Relief Pak® moist heat pack comes in multiple shapes and sizes so patients can choose the best fit their area of affliction. Velcro fasteners help secure the pack in place, allowing users more freedom of motion without risk of displacing the pack. Each pack provides at least thirty minutes of therapeutic moist heat relief, and all the packs can be reheated immediately or stored in a plastic back in the refrigerator until needed.

Packs are made of a terry vinyl material to prevent any moisture from reaching clothing or bedding, and terry cloth pack covers provide protection between the heat and the skin to prevent burns without hindering the moist heat from penetrating deep into muscle tissue. All covers are washable and reusable. In lieu of the cover, heavy towels can be wrapped entirely around the pack to prevent direct contact with the skin while still preventing skin irritation and burns.
