The Progress-Plus (tm) Wrist Flexion Turnbuckle Orthosis is a soft, lightweight orthosis made of a flexible plastic form laminated between dense, closed-cell foam padding. The removable liner is made of foam padding with a soft, terry cloth covering. D-ring hook and loop straps cinch easily for a proper fit. This orthosis provides static progressive positioning of the wrist between 0 degrees neutral and 60 degrees flexion to a user's improve range of motion. Simply twist the turnbuckle to apply incremental, low-load force to reposition the wrist joint.
The Progress Plus Wrist Flexion Turnbuckle Orthosis is ideal for wrist flexion contractures due to fractures, surgical repairs, or abnormal tone conditions. It progresses the hand to a functional resting position. To use, the user must have passive finger extension and the wrist contracture can be no greater than 60 degrees flexion. The thumb can be moved into abduction.
