With the Paraffin Gauze Wound Dressing, you can ensure your patients' utmost healing. These wound dressings are made of soft yet durable knitted, open-weave cotton tulle that's impregnated with white paraffin. White paraffin is an ideal choice for wound care as it facilitates better wound drainage and provides great ventilation. Paraffin wound dressings are ideal additions to the recovery process of patients rehabilitating from minor burns and scalds, skin grafts, leg ulcers, abrasions and lacerations, and surgical wounds.

The Paraffin Gauze Wound Dressings have a generous shelf life of 3 years, allowing facilities to use their dressings without worrying about staying inside of short expiration dates. Each dressing is sterilized prior to shipment using radiation and comes ready to use. The Paraffin Gauze Wound Dressing should not be used on patients who have known sensitivity to any of the dressing components, nor should it be used in cavity wounds.

How do you apply the Paraffin Gauze Wound Dressing?
1) Prior to applying the dressing, clean the wound area with saline or a wound cleansing agent. Dry the surrounding skin.
2) Apply the Paraffin Gauze Wound Dressing. Cover and secure the dressing with a secondary dressing.
3) Change the dressing accordingly based on patient needs. When changing the dressing, gently remove the secondary dressing. If the patient's wound is dry in appearance, soak the dressing in sterile saline before removal.
