The Ortho-Foam PIP Spring Extension Splint is a Capener-style splint that features coiled springs for dynamic extension of the proximal interphalangeal joint while still allowing the wearer the ability to flex and move the finger in the opposite direction. This design provides treatment for PIP joint tightness caused by a variety of conditions, without limiting the mobility of the wearer.

This splint is easy to fit with an adjustable strap to control extension force and comes in four sizes determined by the splint length for a more exact fit that facilitates better treatment results. It is constructed with comfortable contoured bands and pads made from closed cell foam and strong, stainless steel wire. The contoured pads distribute force for a more comfortable splint, while the stainless steel wire provides strong support while still being slightly bendable to allow for a custom fit.

This splint does not contain latex. It is easily cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. The strap can be hand-washed and air-dried.
