More Information

Infrared thermometers use infrared radiation to quickly and accurately measure a patient's surface body temperature. Because they don't have to touch the patient to get a reading, infrared thermometers are helpful thermometers for use with children and mentally disabled patients. Infrared thermometers provide results almost instantly, and they are more accurate than tympanic thermometers, providing more comfortable than rectal thermometers. They can even be used to check the temperature of a sleeping patient without disturbing them.

The Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer is best used at a distance of 2-inches from the skin. This thermometer can accurately read body temperature without interference from external heat sources. It features an audio alarm that is activated by high temperatures. The Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer also features a backlit LCD screen, and memory capabilities record up to 32 previous results. It shuts off automatically when not in use to save battery life.
