The Maggie and Explora Magnification Devices are unique, innovative solutions for individuals who struggle with vision impairments like low visibility, near- or far-sightedness, and dyslexia. The compact size provides a path to enhanced visibility on-the-go, and the non-glare, battery-powered LED screens ensure users can easily read in low-light environments like restaurants, or high-light environments like the park.
The Explora uses an intuitive, center-mounted camera that enlarges images at approximately 4.5x magnification and displays them in full color on a 3.5 screen. The non-slip, rubber exterior ensures a secure, firm grip, allowing users to magnify anything around them, while the left- and right-hand convertible wrist strap prevents accidental dropping.
The Maggie boasts a 5 screen and features variable magnification that can be adjusted to suit user preference or situational need. The full-color screen can be set to an MD or reverse mode that converts text into pure white words on a pure black background, which provides a higher level of contrast and therefore greater visibility, which can be especially helpful for those with Macular Degeneration. A convenient kickstand can be extended to allow the Maggie to stand on its own and glide over surfaces, or can be folded out of the way against the device so as to not interfere with holding it. An attached wrist strap helps prevent accidentally dropping the device during use, while the included faux-leather, wallet-like case protects when not in use.
The Maggie MD Kit includes a 6-hour lithium-ion battery, USB charging cable, wall socket charger, faux leather wallet, and the magnification screen.
