Designed to safely transport a patient or user to and from the shower, this commode chair will also fit over most toilets, giving the user a taller sitting surface which is great for people with hip problems. The chair has an anodized, non-corrosive, non-rust aluminum frame that's lightweight yet able to comfortably support a person weighing up to 250-pounds. This chair is ideal for an individuals who are unable to stand for prolonged periods while showering/bathing, or for those who require assistance while attending to hygiene needs.

Do all the wheels lock?

Answer: The two rear casters on the Lumex Transport Chair lock, but the front two do not. Those two locks secure the chair entirely and prevent rolling regardless of the lack of locks on the front.

If I get the footrest version can I remove the footrests?

Answer: The Lumex Shower Transport Chair with footrests features the footrests built into the frame. They can be moved out of the way, but they cannot be removed entirely.

Can it be used by someone weigh slightly over the weight capacity?

Answer: The Lumex Transport Shower Chair is made to accommodate up to 250 lbs, but not higher than that. It can not be recommended to use the chair at higher weights than the capacity.
