Leckey Mygo Stander Package for Children and Teens

The Leckey Mygo Stander Package allows those that can't stand on their own to receive the numerous benefits of standing while still remaining secure and safe. Instead of being in a wheelchair for extended periods of time, below the eye level of most peers, the Mygo Stander encourages the child to interact with friends and family and engage in a range of activities. The versatile design of this stander allows users to stand in prone, supine, and upright positions for improved ease of use and patient accommodation.

Prone standing provides front (anterior) support and encourages weight bearing and use of the arms. Upright standing is for users that have more developed balance and trunk control. Supine standing supports the back of the body and tilts the user at an angle upwards to promote some weight bearing and control of the trunk and head while providing support. Standing has been shown to improve muscle growth and bone development, increase respiration and voice control, as well as to stimulate circulation. These benefits are crucial for physical and cognitive development in children and young adults, making the Mygo Stander System the ideal solution for users who cannot stand independently.

The Mygo Stander can be adjusted from vertical to 10 degrees from horizontal to meet a range of needs and preferences. The Mygo Stander can also allow up to 25 degree fixed hip and knee contractures.

Supports and Accessories Included in the Package
Mygo Stander Base: Strong, versatile stander frame and chassis come standard with manual angle adjustment, polyurethane chest pad, polyurethane hip pads, polyurethane knee supports, and two-piece footplate.

Stander Covers: Covers are durable and comfortable against the skin, available in blue or pink to accommodate the taste of different users. Covers are designed to be placed over the chest pad, hip pads, and knee pads for improved cushioning. Material is machine washable and breathable for easy maintenance.

Shoulder Pad and Cover: The shoulder pad is contoured and comfortable with wings that can be angle-adjusted to provide support for shoulder protraction, bringing the hands to midline in order to help increase upper body and limb function.

Contoured Headrest: Comfortable design cradles the head to provide ideal head and neck stability. It is compatible with a number of head supports and features multiple adjustments to ensure proper positioning and support for a variety of user needs. Hardware and black cushion are included for comfort and easy attachment.

Chest Laterals and Harness: Fixed chest laterals provide side-to-side support to keep the user safely upright and ensure proper posture without slouching or sliding to one side. The Wraparound Chest Harness encircles the chest to provide comfortable support while standing in any of the three positions without prohibiting the movement of the arms and upper torso.

Supine Derotation Hip Belt: Unique belt design allows the therapist to comfortably and easily position the patients hips and pelvis in a neutral centrally-aligned position. This belt is specially designed to be used in Supine standing and features a gluteal prompt to provide a proprioceptive stimulus and feeling of security.

Knee Positioning and Support: Knee straps are comfortable and supportive, with a V-shaped design that ensures maximum comfort without placing too much pressure on the sensitive knee joint, distributing the weight across the knee for improved safety. Knee cup height extensions provide additional height range adjustments to better accommodate a wide range of users.

Tray: Polyurethane tray provides a versatile and convenient work surface for dining, playing, and performing activities as well as supporting the trunk while keeping the upper limbs free for comfortable movement.

Sandals: These sandals are easily attached to the footplates and are individually adjustable in medial/lateral and anterior/posterior positions to better accommodate a wide range of foot positions.
