The High-Sided Adapted Scooping Dish is designed to aid individuals with the use of only one hand, people with neurological disorders, or those with a limited range of motion due to an injury or surgery.

The 7 3/4-inch diameter dish has steep 1 3/4-inch high walls that enable the user to use one hand to scoop food along the bottom of the dish and wedge it up against the wall, forcing the food onto the fork or spoon. There are non-skid feet on the bottom of the dish to keep it from sliding during mealtimes, allowing the user the opportunity to eat more independently.

The latex-, BPA-, and phthalates- free dish is made of durable melamine plastic that resists cracking or breaking, and is dishwasher safe making it a great dish for community centers, medical facilities, care homes, and for personal use.

The dish can not be used in a microwave. According to the FDA, melamine dishes are safe when used as directed, but the chemical is more likely to migrate when the products are heated in a microwave or conventional oven, particularly if they contain highly acidic foods (such as tomato sauce).
