GripWare High-Sided Dish

The GripWare High-Sided Dishes are specially designed to assist individuals with limited motor skills or those who can only use one hand to dine independently. These dishes can play a crucial role in occupational therapy settings, aiding in the development or rehabilitation of feeding skills. These dishes are a part of the unique GripWare line and feature round, non-skid feet with a textured rubber surface that firmly grips tabletops to prevent the plates from sliding during use.

Constructed from melamine, the GripWare High-Sided Dishes are sturdy and durable, but they are not designed to be used in the microwave. However, they are easy to clean as they are safe for use in a household dishwasher. This makes them not only functional but also convenient for everyday use.

Each dish has a diameter of 7.75 in. (20cm), providing ample space for food, with raised edges that stand 1.25 in. (3.2cm) high, making it easier to scoop food without spillage. This design can foster a sense of independence and dignity for users by allowing them to feed themselves more easily. The Regular dish model maintains this height all around its circumference, while the Cutout Edge dish offers a sloping side that tapers down to 0.5 in. (13mm) for easier utensil entry, allowing for a variety of foods to be enjoyed with ease! The Cutout Edge design is particularly useful for those with a unilateral weakness or the use of only one hand.
