Great step down from cast
I badly crushed my pinky PIP and other knuckles just short of fracturing. My doctor told me to keep it moving. I needed something to rest it while the swelling went down and my bulky splint cast wasn't the answer. Although the Exos should be heated in an approved device, careful monitoring in a microwave convection oven works too. Just don't go past preheat or you will start the actual microwave magnetron, which may ruin the plastic and arc any metal bits. A convection oven with a fairly insulated sheet will work, too. The fit, once cooled, is nearly as good as a cast. Small adjustments can be made by re-heating areas with a hair dryer.
