State of the Art Geo-Matt Design
Using sophisticated computer operated equipment, the top layer of medium density foam is cut into cube patterns with an open channel underneath. This pattern, which is clinically proven to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers forming, provides support and immersion to the sitting area. Not only does the geometrical pattern mold to the body and redistribute pressure, but it also reduces shearing by decreasing pull on the skin. Heat and moisture are vented away from the body with the ring of air channel, located all along the length of the cushion.
Wheelchair Cushion Cover Choices
Soft-Skin Cover
This moisture-resistant wheelchair cushion cover is made with a thin, stretchy urethane that reduces skin friction. The material protects from skin shear, which occurs when surfaces rub against the skin in one direction and the bony prominence pulls the skin in another direction. The translucent Polyurethane Cover fits like a second skin over the cushion to protect it against water.
Nylon and Vinyl Cover
This cover has a soft and stretchy nylon top with a vinyl bottom that can easily be wiped clean.
Compatible with the Sling-Fill Base
A rigid plastic base can be inserted into the cushion cover to eliminate wheelchair hammocking effect or bottoming out.
