The Exos Short Arm Open Thumb Fracture Brace is designed to provide a custom fit to your wrist thanks to thermoform technology and the Boa® Lacing System. Using heat, your physician can mold the actual shape of this brace to the contours of your wrist and arm, enhancing your comfort throughout the recovery period and also ensuring you receive the support you need. The Boa® Lacing System utilizes a simple knob to tighten or loosen the brace as needed to adjust support resistance. To tighten, simply push the knob down into the locked position and turn it clockwise slowly until you achieve the correct tightness. To loosen, lift the knob into the unlocked position and pull the tab.
The latex-free materials that make up the brace are lightweight and designed to facilitate airflow and healthy circulation during use; a contact closure release tab helps the brace to open more fully when its time to put it on or take it off, making it easier to apply and remove. A series of ulnar styloid relief holes reduce the pressure on bonier areas of the wrist so you can achieve the proper tension and support you need without constricting those areas.
