The EMT Select Extrication Collar is used for extraction and rehabilitation after accidents and injuries after cervical trauma has been sustained. This collar is a 1-piece flat design that makes storage easy. With an adjustable size, the collar can be adjusted to fit four different adult sizes and three different pediatric sizes. The closed cell foam liner of the collar helps to prevent skin breakdown. There are locking tabs and a slide adjustment as well as reflecting sizing indicators that are used to provide maximum hold from the collar. There is also a large trachea opening which allows for easy access to monitor carotid pulse as well as emergency airway procedures and visualization during extraction and recovery.

This EMT Select Extrication Collar is used to protect the wearer from suffering cervical trauma in the event of an accident. The collar is designed with the intent to extract and rehabilitate the wearer after an accident. The collar comes as a one-piece collar that can be collapsed to be almost completely flat for easy storage and can easily be placed around the neck of the patient.

The one-piece collar is easily adjustable with four adult and three pediatric sizes. While the sizes are universal and easily adjustable, the collar is available in both adult and pediatric sizes with each size fitting a different range of circumferences. The sizes are easy to change between and once a size has been adjusted by using the slide adjustment and sliding indicators, the locking tabs can be activated to lock the collar into a firm position to prevent neck movement. The collar is also made of a closed cell foam liner to help prevent skin breakdown as well as a material that makes it safe for X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.

The collar is excellent for use in rehabilitation as well. The large trachea opening in the collar allows for clear observation and monitoring of the carotid pulse. The opening also allows easy access in the event of emergency airway procedures and keeps these important areas visualized for observation.
