Electrostatic sprayers are the overachievers of tank sprayers. They outperform ordinary sprayers by leaps and bounds. These sprayers are valuable and sought out by professionals in various industries, including agriculture, automotive, and tanning. Using an electrostatic sprayer will help get the job done faster and more efficiently.
This sprayer runs on a rechargeable battery. Since you will not be tethered to an electrical outlet, you can take this sprayer almost anywhere. This sprayer uses a common 12V 9aH lead-acid battery. The battery is rechargeable, and a charger is included with your purchase. If you ever need to replace the battery, it is an ordinary 12V 9aH lead-acid battery. This cost-efficient type of battery can easily be purchased online or at a hardware store. Continuous working time is 6-8 hours. The recommended charge time is 8-12 hours or overnight.
There are 3 removable nozzles you can connect to the wand. The nozzles are single, double, and quadruple nozzles. When a solution is sprayed, it is mist-like.
The tank holds 4.22 gallons (16 liters) of a solution. There is a convenient carrying handle on top of the tank. The tank's colors are bright blue and yellow. The bright colors make this tank very difficult to lose.
Factory testing is performed on each ES290 Dr. Allens' unit prior to shipment:
- Each ES290 electrostatic sprayer unit is individually tested by a Quality Assurance Technician at the factory, so do not be alarmed at small traces of water condensation which may be visible in the holding tank at the time you receive and open your ES290 Sprayer.
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be worn while spraying. The level of PPE depends on the type of solution you are being exposed to.

How to avoid a Static Shock and why Electrostatic Sprayers generate static electricity:
Electrostatic Sprayers work by producing or activating an electrostatic charge to the water ion (ie: the disinfectant solution has water in it). An ion is a charged atom or molecule.
The Electrostatic Sprayer is doing what it is designed to do when it activates water ions with a positive static charge.
If you feel a mild electrostatic shock upon activating your nozzle, this is normal and it is not harmful.
To prevent the user from feeling a mild static discharge (which is normal and harmless, like touching a door knob in winter), wear gloves (rubber, latex, vinyl) when using the sprayer.
The factory engineers have been consulted, and these electrostatic sprayers are operating normally.
The Science: Most electrostatic sprayers generate positively charged particles, because most surfaces are negatively charged. The theory is that the positively charged particles will stick to most surfaces that are negatively charged. (As a side note, the earths surface is negatively charged.) Electrostatic sprayers are designed to generate positively charged ion-mist particles. These particles then repel each other and have a better chance to stick to something else. This is the law of opposite attraction.
