Made with 3/8" thick, 7-ply birch covered in a clear melamine surface, the transfer board features a splinter-free surface with no lacquer to wear off.

Tips for Making a Successful Transfer:

Always use a transfer board between transfers if it has been recommended by a physician.

Do not rush the transfer. It's important to pay careful attention when transferring in order to avoid making mistakes that could cause a fall.

On transfer to surfaces that are of the same height or lower. Not only does it make the transfer saver, but it makes caregiver assisting of the transfer easier as well.

Always wear clothing or use a transfer seat when transferring. This prevents skin injuries from occurring.

For my purpose, it did not work for my disabled husband. However, several years ago, I did have to use it for my sister and it was very helpful.

WE have two of these. One in the car for transfers and one in the house for transfers. I highly recommend them.
