Seca 852 Digital Portion and Diet Scale

This compact and powerful scale is designed to provide accuracy down to the ounce, helping you perfectly portion your food. The scale itself is a disc-like platform with a diameter of 8.3 inches, making it large enough to hold even larger portion sizes of everything from vegetables to meats. The digital display features bold numbers for easy readability and has two buttons for simple operation: on and TARE.

Included with the Digital Portion and Diet Scale is its corresponding measuring bowl. The wide lip and high sides allow for weighing greater volumes at a time; they also allow for weighing liquids. To account for the weight of the bowl, the TARE function will reset the scale to zero with the bowl already on top, essentially removing its weight and only weighing what is added. This function can also be used when adding multiple ingredients together; once an ingredient has been added and weighed, the TARE function can set the weight back to zero and another ingredient can be added and weighed accurately. This can be done infinitely until all ingredients are added and weighed.

Both pieces are made of durable materials that have a smooth surface, making them easy to wipe down between ingredients or when finished completely with the scale. For convenient storage, the scale and bowl are sized compatibly so the scale will sit inside the bowl, protecting it until you have need of it again.
