The Fall Prevention Kit by DeRoyal provides a "falls prevention protocol" to help easily identify fall risk patients and to help prevent fall injuries for patients staying within medical facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and other patient care facilities. The kit includes double-sided tread fall-prevention slippers ranging from child to bariatric sizes, fall-prevention identity patient wristbands, and a magnetic fall-prevention identification room/door sign. Kits come 24 to a case. While falls within a medical facility are bad enough at the time of the fall, the CDC states that "falls can (also) result in decreased physical functioning, disability and reduced quality of life" with such possible outcomes including hip fractures, head injuries, and even death. The Fall Prevention Kit offers a multi-faceted approach in an effort to prevent falls within healthcare organizations.

The double-sided tread slippers come in two colors: yellow, or red. The yellow color indicates a patient is a "Fall Risk" while the red indicates "Fall Prevention" staff awareness. The double-sided, sliding-resistant tread of the slipper provides the patient non-slipping security when walking along a hard-surfaced smooth floor, even if the slippers become twisted. The Fall Prevention Wristband has the words "Fall Prevention" clearly marked on it to easily identify to the staff the patient's fall risk level, thereby allowing staff members to quickly identify and take action if needed with the patient. The Fall Prevention Magnet sign is to be placed on the entrance door-frame of a patient's room for staff and visitors to be aware of the fall risk patient within the room.
